DuWayne has been writing songs for many years. He’s written hundreds of songs and has been a member of the Nashville Writers Association.

Nashville promoter, Butch Paulson, has previously promoted DuWayne’s music to over 1,600 radio stations in the United States. Bobby G Rice, as well, was instrumental in promoting DuWayne’s music overseas.

DuWayne has always been an Independent Artist. He is readily accepted as a true country artist by his fans and radio disc jockeys, worldwide.

• 1997 – Nominated for Rising Star Award and Career Achievement
• 1998 – Awarded Country Album of the Year – “Goin’ Country Style”
• 1999 – Awarded Radio’s Favorite Country Artist
• 2000 – Awarded Male Traditional Country Artist of the Year
• 2001 – Awarded Country Song of the Year  – “Your Jealousy”
• 2001 – Awarded Gold Album – “Burning Bridges”

DuWayne and his Opry Style Band have been performed nationally and have enjoyed the thousands of wonderful people they’ve met.
